Essential Guidelines for Elementor Pro Plugin Users

1. Install Both Required Plugins

After purchasing Elementor Pro from WPShop, download the provided package and extract the ZIP file.

Inside the extracted folder, you will find:

Elementor (Free Version)
Elementor Pro

Both plugins must be installed for Elementor Pro to function properly.

2. Remove Any Existing Free Version

If you previously installed the free version of Elementor directly from the WordPress Plugin Repository, please delete it before installation.

Then install the free Elementor plugin included in our download package, followed by the Elementor Pro plugin.

This ensures full compatibility between both versions.

3. Do Not Use Automatic Updates

Please do not update Elementor or Elementor Pro directly from the WordPress dashboard.

Automatic updates may replace the supplied GPL package with the original repository version, causing compatibility issues or disabling Pro functionality.

Always wait until the latest version is available on WPShop.

4. How to Update Safely

When a new version is released:

Download the latest package from WPShop.
Upload the new ZIP file through WordPress.
WordPress will automatically replace the existing version while preserving your settings, templates, and customizations.

No additional configuration is required.

5. If You Updated Automatically

If you accidentally updated the free Elementor plugin from the WordPress dashboard and Elementor Pro stops working:

Delete the updated Elementor (Free) plugin.
Reinstall the free Elementor plugin included in the WPShop download package.
Ensure that Elementor Pro remains installed.

This will restore compatibility in most cases.

6. Important Reminder

For Elementor Pro features to work correctly, always use the free Elementor plugin included in the WPShop package, not the version downloaded from the official WordPress repository.
